| A wrong turn after the original wrong turn. 20 km and 3 hours later, we were finally on track to haul our way to Attapeu, a mere 150 km away. |

| Sunset. This was one of the best we saw as we rode to Attapeu. The sky got pinker and pinker especially behind the mountain. Unfortunately, we were trying to get to our destination so did not stop for many pictures. |

| Our second stop as we looked for a place to stay for the next 2 nights. Five hotels and 5 restaurants later, we finally decided on Phuong Thang ($12.50/night) for sleep and dinner. |
